MidiPaddy Privacy Policy

MidiPaddy is an iPad MIDI controller. It does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics or tracking.

Data collection

MidiPaddy does not collect, transmit or sell personal data. Profiles, MIDI assignments, controller values and route preferences are stored locally in the app's container on the user's iPad.

Device capabilities

MidiPaddy uses Bluetooth through Apple's system MIDI services when the user chooses to connect a Bluetooth MIDI device. It uses motion data locally, when impact velocity is enabled, to distinguish softer and harder piano-key taps. Motion samples are not stored or transmitted.

MidiPaddy measures elapsed time between local app and MIDI events for scheduling and input handling. This timing information is not transmitted off the device.

Third parties and network services

MidiPaddy contains no third-party SDKs and does not operate a cloud service. A connected MIDI instrument or receiving app handles MIDI messages according to its own behavior and policies.
